Metaphysical Paintings

Aside from one painting which came earlier, these paintings represent my first foray allowing the process and result of painting explore and communicate a reality that I was concerned with. The key painting from this time, Chaos, is missing from this page, but with Chaos, I built for myself a set of rules that the other paintings would follow, including the size, format, medium, and process. These paintings, most of which have hard edges, deal with the way that reality presents itself to us in a physical or temporal way.
