_Paintings
While this set of paintings isn't necessarily linked thematically or visually, each is an attempt to answer a question I’m wrestling with. One of the most recent and personal, Silhouette, tries to make sense of inherent existence. Within each circle is represented some set of factors or dogma that was introduced into my life without any conscious decision on my part. The top circle represents history and geography, the middle circle represents religion, and the third circle represents family and DNA. All of these things are hard to really see clearly as they are woven into experience of the world in such a way that they can be hard to break free of.
